How to Create a Meditation App Using Only Free Audio Tools
The meditation app market is worth billions, but you don't need venture capital to create guided meditation content. With free AI tools, you can produce professional-sounding tracks from your bedroom.
What You Need
A calm, steady TTS voice for narration Ambient background music Audio editing tools to merge and fade
Step 1: Write the Script Meditation scripts are slow and repetitive by design. Use short sentences. Lots of pauses. Gentle, permissive language.
Example: "Breathe in slowly. Hold. Now release. Notice how your shoulders drop. There is nowhere you need to be right now."
Step 2: Generate the Voiceover Use VoxCraft's TTS with a narration-style female voice. Australian and UK English voices tend to sound particularly calming in neural TTS engines.
Add extra line breaks where you want pauses. The TTS will respect them.
Step 3: Generate Background Music Use VoxCraft's Background Music tool. Select the Cinematic Ambient or Lo-Fi Chill style. Generate a 10-minute track (or longer, depending on your meditation length).
Step 4: Merge and Balance Use VoxCraft's Audio Merger to combine voiceover and music. The music should sit 15–20 dB below the voice — audible but not distracting.
Add a 5-second fade-in at the start and a 10-second fade-out at the end.
Step 5: Export and Distribute Export as MP3. Upload to YouTube as a sleep/meditation video, or distribute via podcast platforms. You can even build a simple app using no-code tools like Adalo or Glide.
